Alltel Pick & Roll

Create a website to run a college basketball contest to build awareness of the FanU website, which was recently purchased by Alltel.

Considerations

  • Contest was still being concepted while the site was being built.

  • Website had to live within FanU.com

  • Five weeks from start to finish

  • Role: Experience Planner

  • Other team members: Visual Designers

User Flows

Worked with clients to help determine what would be the best format of contest. We went with a weekly picks contest where users would pick 10 games. There would be both weekly prizes and an overall prize.

Once that was determined, mapped out the various tasks users would have to perform, including learning about the contest, registration (both with the site and the contest), making their weekly picks, and seeing where they rank in both the weekly and overall standings.

Site Map

Using the user flows, determine the number of pages needed and built the site map.

Wireframes

After validating the site map, build the wireframes for each page, working with the overall goals of the project. Reviewed with both creative team and client throughout the process.
